Thomas Azzopardi

Although officially licenced in 2008, Thomas Azzopardi was born into the building trade and raised by three generations’ worth of construction expertise. Now the owner of Thomas Azzopardi Construction, he is at the helm of the company, with a vision for him and his team to make huge strides in the industry through innovative methods of work and ground-breaking projects.

As the owner, Thomas Azzopardi brings the right skillset to the table, overseeing all of the company’s activities with great ease. He’s known for his abilities when handling challenging scenarios, and encouraging his team to take on pioneering projects. He keeps his duties and responsibilities organised for both himself and his personnel, managing everything according to their level of importance. No matter the scale of the project, Thomas Azzopardi is on board, from making the big decisions to managing everyday tasks.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Although Azzopardi is not the company’s project manager, he still invests time in overseeing the managerial process for each project. As the primary stakeholder, he knows how to stay on top of each project by liaising with the project manager, in order to have a better understanding of the operations, and proactively address any issues that may arise on the job site.

  • Funding & Budgeting Projects: Azzopardi has plenty of experience when it comes to financial management in construction and civil engineering. With every project, the owner knows how to designate the appropriate funds from the firm’s account, although Azzopardi’s budgeting skills also extend to handling bank loan applications.

  • Creating Timelines: With over fourteen years of experience with the company, Thomas Azzopardi is adept at creating timelines for projects to be completed in record timing. He is known for looking at work processes holistically by stipulating smaller timeline goals within each project. Naturally, Azzopardi maintains excellent relations with his clients and keeps them abreast with the proceedings, and continuously liaises with his team in order to adhere to their deadlines.

  • Permit Acquisition: Regardless of the project’s nature and the contractor-client relationship, Azzopardi’s top priority is obtaining the right permits for every job.

  • Identification and Acquisition of Resources: Thomas Azzopardi’s experience lends itself well to his duties when it comes to identifying and acquiring any required resources. Over the years, he’s accumulated an impressive fleet of certified heavy plant that is modern, advanced and well-maintained to meet industry standards.

  • Supervision, direction and inspection: Part of Azzopardi’s daily routine is to periodically swing by each job site to ensure that each project is going to plan. He regularly checks in with his personnel, checking in on job site progress, evaluating health and safety standards, and ensuring that all legal regulations are being followed and that the contract agreement is being honoured.

  • Communications: Thomas Azzopardi takes great pride in the level of communication he has with his clients and his workforce. His repeat customers and associates are a testimony of the good relations he’s managed to maintain over the years, aiding in the company’s reputation as a reliable and efficient entity in the construction industry.
