Clarissa Azzopardi

Clarissa Azzopardi had met Thomas back when she was sixteen years old, and has officially been in the field since 2010. Since then, she’s built an exceptional career in the construction industry, growing from strength to strength alongside her husband and business partner.

Initially, Azzopardi had started off by giving structure to the office paperwork, ensuring that each client account was correctly filed and in order. Eventually, the company’s portfolio amounted to over eight years’ worth of construction files; thanks to her incredible organisational skills, Azzopardi has maintained a well-oiled machine when it comes to the company’s administrative side.

Today, she is more focused on Thomas Azzopardi Construction’s operational duties as Operations Manager.

Azzopardi’s responsibilities revolve around the timely progression of the company’s projects, ensuring that everything moves forward on schedule and on budget. She is the brains behind schedule curation, personnel management, client communication, and working with project managers to overcome challenges.

At an operational level, Azzopardi is the problem solver when it comes to producing deliverables on time and within the client’s budget. She’s a master at addressing urgent obstacles that arise on the daily in the world of construction, resolving any issues that might impede on the firm owner’s duties.

Clarissa Azzopardi is responsible for securing any additional resources, should there be any changes to a project’s goals. She communicates with project managers and other stakeholders to understand the issue at hand, build a case, and present it to the financial decision makers. However, her role is not just reactionary. Azzopardi is by nature a proactive individual, keeping herself involved at every stage of the project cycle to establish contingency plans for any potential issues further down the line.

Her duties include but are not limited to the logistics of material and equipment delivery, liaising with personnel, facilitating site-plan meetings, tracking firm resource usage, identifying project risks, assessing client satisfaction, facilitating meetings, coordinating maintenance, keeping track of vendor pricing, managing certification expiries and reports, visualising workforce data, soliciting quotes, and compiling project closeout packages.

Clarissa Azzopardi is renowned for her strong communication skills as an operations manager, not just verbally, but also through standardised communication methods. Her daily and productive interactions with stakeholders are a testament to her abilities in the field. Her dedication to the industry has honed her problem-solving skills, and she never assumes that an issue will sort itself out. She is one to take charge, evaluate and then implement. Moreover, she is an exceptional negotiator who possess a thorough understanding of the business.
